Membership
Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club has limited availability for membership in ALL categories , these are Full Membership, Seniors, Intermediate, Student and Juniors. We are actively seeking more members in all areas but would especially welcome full members under the age of 45 years who are presently under represented in the club. There is NO JOINING FEE for members in the categories of Intermediate, student or junior. Student and intermediate categories of membership are for 18 - 27 year olds.
Fed up of closed courses in the winter ? A new category of Country membership is also available for members of other recognised golf clubs who reside more than 25 miles from the golf club again there is no joining fee and you can play 365 days of the year. You will also benefit from a 12.5% discount for each year of country membership off the joining fee should you wish to become a full member. (New members only)
Please remember Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club is a private members club for which a joining fee for full membership must be paid (Unless stated otherwise above). Should your application be successful you then will have a vote at the Annual General Meeting and at any Special General Meetings. As a member you have the right to assist or challenge how the club is run and will be partly responsible with all members over 18 for the election of officers and general committee. You may also bring guests to play the course at reduced rates.
Presently the joining fee for full membership is set at £795, this can be paid over a period of four years and equates to approximately £3.82p per week over the four years. This joining fee is non refundable should you choose to leave at any time during the first four years. There is also an annual bar levy of £75 for all categories of membership over 27 years of age which entitles you to an 18% discount on food and beverages in the dining room, lounge and spike bars. Below is a list of annual subscriptions for the various types of membership.
Full Member £695 + joining fee
Junior 15 - 18 £150 no joining fee
Junior 10 - 14 £100 no joining fee
Intermediate £332 no joining fee
Student £248 no joining fee
Country (60 miles) £350 no joining fee
Country (25 miles) £500 no joining fee - must be a member of another club
House £44 no joining fee
Junior members can also enjoy the reduced fees of STUDENT membership (currently £248) once they have reached the age of 18 years and remain in full time education.
To encourage the retention of junior and student members once they have reached 18 years of age or over there is an INTERMEDIATE membership (currently £332) for those out of education up until attaining the age of 27 years.
Student and intermediate membership is available to anyone. Those who have been junior, student or intermediate members of Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club will receive 12.5% off the joining fee for each year when joining as a full member when over 27 years of age. This equates to a joining fee of £0 after 8 years membership in any of those categories. Lapsed members will also receive the same 12.5% discount off the joining fee for each year they were members should they wish to re-apply.
Country members NOT belonging to another golf club must be resident at least nine months a year outside a 60 mile radius from Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club. However members of the H.M. forces and ministers of religion temporarily stationed within the 60 mile radius may at the discretion of the committee be elected as country members. Paying £350 per year no joining fee
Country members belonging to another recognised golf club must be resident at least six months a year outside a 25mile radius from Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club. Paying £500 per year no joining fee.
